HELLO BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE!!!!!

It’s been a little while since we last talked– i hope you’re doing oh so well! I’ve been on the world race for a little over a month now and, let me tell you,– GOD IS SO GOOD! I never would have dreamed that this would be my life. I’ve lived in a tent, shared a tent, hiked a mountain, walked what i normally would have driven, shared a small room with 30 other girls, drank more coffee and tea than i thought was possible, and even survived world race training camp– and i count it all as joy!!!!! Living in community has its trials, but it truly is better than i ever could have imagined! 

As of right now, we are staying in black mountain, north carolina for two weeks doing a domestic mission! We have done everything from cleaning summer camp cabins, staining a playground, and even hauling kayaks up a flight of stairs. We are truly here in this town to help and love on its residents and remind them that God loves them!!!!!!

One thing i’ve learned since we’ve come to north carolina is that every person you encounter has a story. It’s up to us to listen to and steward their story well. Listening to others stories, showing them how much you care, and reminding them that God loves them through it goes a long way. We have had conversations with everyone from waiters and tattoo artists to uber drivers and even restaurant managers. Every single one of them had a story that i now have the privilege of knowing. God is so so so good y'all!!
